My Sinosplice blog has been going for over two years. It started off very personal, but it has gradually gone in a different direction. The focus used to be narrow: me. It has broadened a lot.
I can’t say that I don’t like the new focus. I feel a sense of purpose, and I’m conscious of a growing audience. But with the new focus comes new limitations: on the blog layout, on the topics I choose, on the frequency with which I post, on the quality and length of the entries, on the seriousness of the topics, etc. I like what I’ve built, but for a while now I’ve longed to break free.
Unlimited space is my solution. The horizontal layout was inspired by Wilson’s photo albums. It’s not a public blog; it’s for my most important audience who I feel miss a more personal glimpse into my life. It is not for general consumption.
Expect a more casual style. Expect shorter, often more frequent entries. Expect random links. Expect boring day-to-day stuff. Expect artwork. Expect creativity.
Let it begin…
