"Geographic Literacy"
October 22, 2004
National Geographic recently did a “geographic literacy” survey, asking citizens of different countries simple geography questions. It’s pretty amazing how poorly they did. I don’t consider myself great at geography, but I got an easy 100%. Unsurprisingly, the results show that Americans did pretty terribly. The only consolation is that Americans outperformed the Brits and the Mexicans several times (and even the Canadians once!). Take the survey and/or see the results.
