I saw Brokeback Mountain the other night with SS. I think it was a good movie, but perhaps not the best for setting the mood on Valentine’s Day. Oh well. We take chances in life! Speaking of my fiancée, we’ve been checking out places to hold the reception. We were disappointed with what we had seen (and let me tell you, going “wedding reception shopping” with a woman is every bit as energy-draining as regular shopping)… until today! We found this great International Tennis Center on Hengshan Road.

OK, it’s actually a 5-star hotel, but it’s part of a huge building with “International Tennis Center” plastered across the front. But that’s not the point. It really is nice inside, and we think it will be perfect. So things are progressing along… We’re going to start setting real dates soon.

P.S. I just found out about this slang meaning of “brokeback.” Not sure whether I think it’s funny or horrible.
