Dream #5: Coffee in the Classroom

May 25, 2006

I haven’t been getting enough sleep these past few nights, so my dream recall sucks. Just yesterday I downloaded and installed an audio program called Audacity, though. I then recorded myself saying “remember your dreams” and “wake up” and made it gradually get louder. Using the Foxytunes extension for Firefox, I can use the sound file I made to wake me up in the morning. (I may also make one for falling asleep to, but I’m not totally convinced it would be helpful.)

Like I said, I haven’t been getting enough sleep the past few nights, so dream recall is not at its best, but I think the new alarm helped me remember a few pieces of a dream that I might not have remembered otherwise.

I remember I was in a classroom. It a high school classroom at Hillsborough. The whole class was having coffee in class, in paper cups. I had a paper cup, but then I moved on to a ceramic one (the same kind we use at ChinesePod) for some reason.

We were listening to a lecture, but there was an assigned person to take notes. Who took the notes rotated. Apparently Anne Caballero had been way too meticulous in her note-taking, and we were all a little annoyed at getting such a book as notes.

The dream ended with me brushing my teeth in the middle of the classroom, finding out that Anne was going to be taking notes again. “You’re not going to take as many notes as last time, I hope,” I said to her. “No,” she replied.
