To bring in the new year, SS and I got together with some co-workers and did all-you-can-eat buffet + private karaoke (at CashBox, the same place we took Grace and Amy before the wedding). In attendance were John B, his wife, Amber, JP, Hank, Jenny, SS, and me.

I refused to sing all night, using my standard “I’m not drunk enough” excuse. I never got drunk enough, but I did do “background vocals” for SS’s rendition of “London Bridges.”

For me, the highlight of the night was hearing SS and JP sing a duet of “A Whole New World” (yes, the one from Aladdin). They both have really good voices, and can both really ham it up. Loooved it. Not sure if I want to do that again next year, but it was good safe fun.
