Kentucky Koffee
January 18, 2009
I’m drinking this interesting concoction of coffee, hot chocolate, and a bit of bourbon as I work on some stuff. It’s amazingly good! The bourbon (Jim Beam white label) and chocolate take me back to the bourbon balls that Babchi (my dad’s mom) used to make, and the coffee ties it together and gives it purpose. Have I invented a drink, or does it already exist?
Lately I never seem to have the time to get everything done (there’s so much I want to do!), but it’s clearly a case of needing to get priorities in order. We all go through ups and downs, and I’m in a bit of a down period now. I’ll plow through it, though. (And yes, I’m going easy on the bourbon…)
Now that SS’s exam is over (results come out Feb. 8), we’re starting to plan our trip to Japan this spring. It’s about damn time I got back there!
Chinese New Year vacation starts after this next work week. I can’t wait! Time to work on my own projects is just what I need right now.
