ink

January 2, 2010

Matt lent me a movie called ink. He described it as “a low-budget movie, but pretty cool.” That was a good description. It’s getting so that certain effects can be done cheaply and still look good. The one thing that didn’t look good was the fight scenes. They really should have done fewer/shorter fight scenes, because they were crap.

Overall the movie was cool, though. It reminded me of the Matrix in more than a few ways. It was almost like a “Matrix done with souls/dreams.” (But without good fight scenes.)

Not sure about this part from the IMDb profile, though:

Ink has been hailed as the new “it” movie and compared to cult classics Brazil, Donnie Darko, The Matrix, Dark City and Pan’s Labyrinth.

Check it out if you get a chance.
