Alana at 11 Months
October 12, 2012
Our “Growing Parent” keeps reminding us to keep a journal of our baby’s development. I’m doing the next best thing and periodically blogging about it.
I gotta say, this last month of development has felt like the most significant one we’ve seen in quite a while. In the past 2-3 weeks, we’ve seen the following changes:
- Going from “slithering” to true crawling, and getting good at it
- Standing up every chance she can get, pulling herself up and scooting alongside coffee tables, beds, etc.
- Big increase in babbling, sometimes interactively (but not very often consciously mimicking us)
- Wanting to explore and get into everything (trouble is brewing!)
- Frequently “finding” things and then wanting to “give” them to us (placing it in our outstretched hand), but then 2 seconds later demanding it back. Both the giving and the taking back are huge sources of satisfaction for her, resulting in big smiles and laughs almost every time (very cute!)
- One lower front tooth fully out, pretty much, while the other lower front tooth remains a bit shy (no other teeth yet)
Here’s a video of the babbling we’re getting, often non-stop, now:
