Time to get caught up on some Alana photos. (This is for you, Mom!)

Recent pics taken at breakfast which I send to SS via WeChat before I go to work: This was her first trip to the movies (in 3D, no less!): First time in rain boots (she soaked her pants with all her puddling splashing): Day out with Dad (on Holy Saturday): And Easter Sunday (painting an egg in a children’s activity after mass): The reason there are so few Easter pictures (despite the fact that she’s wearing an adorable yellow flowery dress under that sweater) is that she had an accident during mass. She was an SS’s lap, and stood up and lurched forward, and smacked the bridge of her nose, hard, on the pew in front of us.

She started wailing, and her nose swelled up fast. SS got ice on it right away, but the top of the bridge of her nose and the lower part of her forehead were all swollen, grotesquely distorting her little face. And, of course, the accident left an ugly bruise. Here’s a pic the day after (we didn’t have the heart to take too close and too clear of a picture): So, it was not a great Easter. Fortunately Alana wasn’t hurt worse. We’ll see how long this bruise lasts…
