Conversation with Alana:

Me: You were sick for a week! You really need to go back to school.

Alana: Why? I don’t like school. I want to just stay at home.

Me: What? What fun is staying at home? All your classmates are at school having lots of fun!

Alana: I like to stay at home.

Me: But all of your friends are learning lots of stuff at school every day. If you stay home, you won’t learn as much, and they’ll all learn more than you.

Alana: Eating fish makes you smart. I’ll just eat more fish.
