Every now and then I become infatuated with some new web (2.0) technology. First it was del.icio.us. Then Flickr. Now it’s last.fm. Last.fm is really cool! Let me lay it out for you.

Whenever you listen to music on your computer, your computer tells last.fm what you listened to. Last.fm records it all. Once you get enough music recorded, Last.fm starts analyzing what you like and tells you what other users have similar taste in music, what artists you’re likely to like, etc. It even has a streaming radio station tailored to each user’s taste in music! It’s really pretty amazing. I like.
