Panic!
December 31, 2005
So I discovered this new band through Last.fm called Panic! at the Disco. I haven’t liked a band this much in a long time. The four members are all teenagers… it’s pretty amazing how much talent they have. Their lyrics are quite interesting too. Although the song titles aren’t always extremely relevant, the track listing should give you some idea of the band’s creativity:
- Intro
- The Only Difference Between Martydom and Suicide is Press Coverage
- London Beckoned Songs About Money Written By Machines
- Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks
- Camisado
- Time To Dance
- Lying is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
- Intermission
- But It’s Better If You Do
- I Write Sins Not Tragedies
- I Constantly Thank God For Esteban
- There’s A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven’t Thought Of It Yet.
- Build God, Then We’ll Talk
You can download/hear some songs at purevolume. For more info on the band, the SPIN.com review is decent. [Update: Brad pointed me to the Pitchfork Review. I couldn’t disagree more with the reviewer, but it’s interesting nonetheless.]
