Sick
February 1, 2007
My cough started the night of January 6th. I remember it clearly, because I started coughing right after coming out of the marriage preparation course, which is held inside a very cold, stone church.
It’s been almost four weeks now, and my cold is not better. It seemed like I was finally getting better, and my cough was dropping in intensity, but then it returned with a vengeance — not so much the cough, but a runny nose, headaches, and general acheyness. Yesterday I left work early because I felt dizzy, was drugged up and really couldn’t think straight. I went home and went to bed immediately, but then I came down with a fever. It was a pretty horrible night.
Today I’m doing a little better. My fever seems to have gone down. I am just so tired of being sick.
Feb. 2 Update: I went to the doctor last night. She looked at my throat, listened to my heart and lungs, did a blood test, and even took an X-ray of my lungs, and determined that whatever I have is not serious. Today I still have a fever though, and feel pretty crappy. So I didn’t go to work again. Trying to rest up and get better. I really hope I’ll be going back to work on Monday.
