I’ve been reading a lot lately about futurism, transhumanism, and the ideas of Ray Kurzweil. It’s really fascinating stuff — where sci-fi meets reality. I have trouble believing why some people might find this uninteresting. Lack of imagination? Lack of interest in science? Just plain lack of wonder for the future of humankind?

This stuff isn’t wild speculation about flying cars; a lot of it is based on technology that is currently making rapid progress right now, such as nanotechnology, computing, neurology, robotics, biotechnology, AI, etc.
