So I got an iPhone on Saturday. It’s something I’ve been considering for a while, and here’s what finally pushed me to do it:

1. The little “joystick” on my Sony-Ericsson is going bad, making it a real pain to use. I would have needed to upgrade soon anyway.

2. We’re getting heavily into mobile learning at work. It’s bad enough that I haven’t owned my own iPod until now, but I can’t continue to not own a decent mobile device is we get into this mobile stuff.

3. The company footed the bill for half the cost of the iPhone.

I’m enjoying the iPhone. It’s not pure joy; there have been some nuisances and disappointments, and I still don’t really like iTunes, but I’m not unhappy.

Now I want better wifi in my home. I might just need to upgrade it…
