Haven’t blogged here in a while! Some things I’ve seen recently:

Battlestar Gallactica. On co-worker JP’s recommendation, I got into this sci-fi series. I was willing to get addicted partly because it had limited itself to only 4 seasons, and partly because I was itching for some good sci-fi. Really glad I did! I’m enjoying it immensely. I’m through with season 3 as of Thursday night; one more season (plus one movie) to go. (Season 4 is not yet over.)

Wall·e. Saw this movie at home with Mom and Dad, and loved it. I think I have a soft spot for robot themes? Nah, I didn’t like the movie Robots nearly as much. I barely remember it. Anyway, this is Pixar at its finest. I want to get the director’s version of the DVD when it comes out.

Hoodwinked. I expected this movie to be stupid and didn’t really even plan to watch it, but I decided to spend some time on the couch with SS and I got hooked. The animation is definitely below today’s standards, but the story and script are extremely clever. I really enjoyed this movie! Very inventive retooling of a tired-out fairytale.

Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs. I fell asleep the first time I tried to watch it, which I guess is not a good sign. (I was tired, though!) After finishing it, I guess I can give it an “OK.” There were some funny parts, but it wasn’t amazing. Similar to the last one and the Simpsons movie, I guess.
