This is Frank, Alana’s new friend: Alana LOVES Frank. His googly eyes keep falling off, and Alana loves to knock or blow them off and put them back on when he complains. Frank has an old man’s voice, with a bit of a southern drawl.

The other night Frank made his debut and was a big hit, and chatted with Alana for about an hour. Eventually when Frank wanted to “go to sleep,” and wouldn’t “come back” at Alana’s request, she flipped out and threw a little tantrum. (She didn’t get her way.) Alana asks about Frank every day. (I guess it’s better than TV! We’re finding we can get quite a bit of mileage out of a pair of googly eyes when you don’t glue them down to any one thing.)

And no, Frank is not based on any real person.
